Blunders

Hi

Very new to BP but really enjoying them, one quick question when a commander of a brigade throws a ‘blunder’ does that mean no further orders can be issued by any other commander on that side that turn or just that the commander who threw the blunder can issue no further orders that turn (hope that makes sense)?

Just that commander. The other brigade commanders are unaffected. In the first edition of the rules the commanding general of the army could order units and if he threw a blunder, no further orders could be given by any of his brigade commanders. This option is still available in BPII, so it is still relevant.

Further Rules About Orders P29.  If a commander fails to give an order then that commander cannot give any more orders that turn.  BP1 was a bit more clear on the subject that it effects that brigade only.

In BP1 if the Commander in Chief blundered, then the whole army was done for the turn.  But C-in-C rules changed between two versions.
