Charged unit

Sorry if this has been answered. If a unit is charged, does not shoot, and  has not done anything yet, does it use an order dice fighting  in the close combat ?

It should have no orders taken if it survives. I guess usually the target will react by shooting to try and at least reduce the number of models in (if not kill) the charging unit, so that it (the target) stands a higher chance of surviving. But if you believe your unit being targeted will survive, you need not react and can keep its Order for a subsequent move or attack.

Being charged has no effect on a unit’s order, or ability to receive an order if it didn’t already have one – p80, Close Quarters, Winner Regroups, first para makes this clear.

If the enemy is within 6″ you will not have the chance to shoot.

Winning combat, moving D6″ and then taking your action is great, if you can pull it off.
