ParticipantCan artillery be enfiladed when limbered – it’s not clear as I read it. Also, the rules imply that troops in march column are enfiladed from any shots perpendicular to it’s footprint. Many thanks. Personally I would like to see pike blocks and Napoleonic squares both automatic enfilades for artillery , but hey ho!

ParticipantI don’t think there is anything about limbered artillery and enfilading fire specifically in the rules. In my group we don’t play the enfilading rule at all. It tempted people too often in to cheesy play. We do play that hedgehogs are easier to hit though. To be honest, a lot of formations were deep targets in this period but it gives a nice flavour when hedgehogs are especially vulnerable to shooting.
