ParticipantHi, just reading up on the combat mechanisms. I can see that depending on the unit/siutaion it is sometimes possible for a unit charged in the flank to turn and face as a charge response. However, what about other situations. E.G a heavy infantry unit is charged in the flank, and survives the resulting melee. Can it them turn to face the enemy in its next move or does it remain fighting to the flank? I have played rules which do it both ways, and cannot find anything in the rules to say which way this should go.
Thanks
A.

ParticipantOnly cavalry can turn to face a charge. Infantry can’t.
In the situation you describe, the only way that the heavy infantry could turn to face would be if they won the combat and the enemy was forced back. Otherwise, they stand and fight to the flank.
