Both pistols and flamethrowers have a range of 6″ do they have to suffer a -1 if the target is over 3″ away as it is more than half their distance just as other weapons?
December 24, 2019 at 10:57 pm #172982Stuart HarrisonParticipantYes, there is nothing preventing an overlap between long range and point blank – even if it does seem a little counter-intuitive.
Edit – I’d suggest you delete your duplicate thread to keep answers together 😉

December 24, 2019 at 11:05 pm #172986NatParticipantOr at least mark the other as duplicate!
But yeah there is nothing to say both modifiers don’t apply
December 26, 2019 at 5:25 pm #173023Mark PrichardParticipantI don’t know how to do that. I tried to delete it after it happened I could not figure out how to do that either.
January 7, 2020 at 3:56 pm #173241AndiParticipantJust to get this clear:
Regular flamer on Range 1 to 3: 2 to hit
and
Regular flamer on Range 3 to 6: 3 to hitIs this correct?
January 7, 2020 at 4:15 pm #173244NatParticipantIn theory … yes.
In practise dont forget that flamethrowers dont have assault, subject to PINs & loss of team also apply
January 8, 2020 at 12:32 am #173257Stuart HarrisonParticipantAs Nat says, those numbers are correct assuming no other modifiers are in play – moved, target is small team, pins, team weapon reduced to one man, etc all have to be considered unless specifically excluded (ie: cover and down don’t apply to flamethrower shots due to the flamethrower special rules).
