After sometime away, I’m dipping back into BA. To motivate me into a return, I am now building up a new army. My current force is 8th army british (north Africa), mostly regular. For my new force I am going for a more elite German list, themed around Ramcke’s Brigade in Africa, with regular artillery/ armour support. So currently looking at standard German Reinforced Platoon selector, following the Rommel Triumphant structure:
2nd Lt + chum
7 man E/W Fallschirmjager incl LMG
7 man E/W Fallschirmjager incl LMG
8 man E/W Fallschirmjager incl 1 x smg
Truck Transport (with MMG)
8 man E/W Fallschirmjager incl 1 x smg
Truck Transport (with MMG)
Light mortar (vet)
Medium Machine Gun (Vet)
Anti-tank rifle (Vet)
50mm Pak 38 (regular)
SdKfz 233 (regular)
12 dice. Then to expand to a Defence of Italy for later war games.
To use the Rommel Triumphant selector, I could just count all the infantry as Veterans and drop the Fallshirmjager price tag and Stubborn. Would people be happy facing FJ models as Veterans only?November 1, 2018 at 6:23 pm #149513InverugieParticipantGerman Truck Points Values
Does anyone know of a more detailed ‘official’ list for German wheeled transport to the very generic ‘Truck’ in the Armies of Germany? While we have light field cars (Kfz.2 and Kubelwagen – 3 pax) and heavy field cars (Kfz.15 – 6 pax), the only entry above this is the Truck (12 pax), covering everything from the ubiquitous Opel Blitz (12 pax probably about right – Regular 39 pts), through the Krupp Protze Kfz.70 (8 pax – which would be Regular 27 pts) to the Krupp Protze Kfz.69 and 81 which are effectively gun tractors like the British Quad (Regular 15 pts), yet they all cost the same points despite serving very different purposes and having very different capabilities. -
