Each platoon has a leader of some sort. With its own Order Die. Some (all?) theatre selectors then have various 0-1 options listed under Headquarters, such as Captain or Medic.
If I buy, say, just a medic, does the HQ unit then just consist of the medic, complete with its own order die? Or does the medic become part of the platoon’s default leader’s group?
Thanks

I don’t have the rulebook or Army book(s) in front of me right now,so I’m not positive on the verbiage on this. I’m pretty sure of the following, however:
You army must contain an officer (first Lt., 2nd Lt., or higher, etc.).
There are additional, optional command units you can include, but are not mandatory, such as Medical officer, Forward Observation Officer, etc.
The commanding officer is mandatory.
Hope this helps.

Similarly senior officers (captain or major) have their own dice. The platoon must contain a Lt before it can contain a senior officer.
