Hello,
Hungarians can include a German tank.
That would mean 2 tanks were possible in a single platoon in this case: 1 from the given Hungarian list + the German option?
Cheers!
May 24, 2020 at 8:17 am #178563SteeljackalParticipanti don’t have that book, but i looked at easyarmy. the reinforced platoon has only one armor, and in the list of available vehicles there are also Germans.
even in logic I feel like saying that the basic rule of the reiforced platoon has only one armor. then there are the various books with campaigns and scenarios. take a look at easyarmy and take away any doubts.EDIT
Sorry, i had watched easy army on the small screen of the phone and I had not seen that there is an additional “Axis support” slot. Now on pc I see in that slot there are some German tanks, and they have the German special rule (6 shots for MG)

live taken the Csaba 40M armoured car, as this has the armoured command ability,
plus a Hungarian panzer III AND a German axis support Panzer III.
They are both painted in Hungarian colours, just to look different.
im pretty sure German supplied armour still benefits from the German special abilities, in this case the higher rate of fire for the vehicle machine guns.
ive used the basic War in East 41/42 platoon selector from the Axis book.
The army looks pretty cool, the Hungarian figures are superb from Warlord.
everything is fielded as Regular, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to turn up at the Warlord Stalingrad event, whenever we’re all allowed out to play again.

I would say it does for the Axis Support unit, not for the Hungarian slot unless specifically stated otherwise – national rules don’t carry over with equipment, just as Soviets and British don’t benefit from gyroscopes on US tanks when they field them. The MMG used by the Hungarians specifically gives it the benefit of an additional shot, as an example.
The Axis Support unit getting the benefit is specifically stated in the FAQ:
“Do the additional German units in a Hungarian army, for example, benefit from the German army special rules? Yes, they would benefit from all four German army special rules. “
May 25, 2020 at 8:40 am #178577Tim HaslamParticipantWell it’s not really a deal breaker, I’ll be using the Panzer III’s as 5 shot mmg’s as they are both painted in identical Hungarian colours, I don’t want to confuse my opponents with that.
Besides, the rule I will be using on both tanks is the armoured command from the armoured car, as this effectively upgrades my regular panzers to veterans for moral checks. Very useful when dealing with pesky soviet swarms.
I chose the ausf N model as this little howitzer may be very useful in built up areas?
May 25, 2020 at 8:42 am #178578Tim HaslamParticipantI meant to mention the Csaba armoured car is a really cool looking model too!
June 1, 2020 at 4:40 pm #178704Paul NettleParticipantI run a Romanian list which has the same option for two tanks. This is a Pz35T for the Romanians (pretending to be an R2) and a Pz38T for the Germans (from 22nd Panzer). This combination rarely strikes terror into my opponents and their Kv1.
June 2, 2020 at 11:21 am #178708Tim HaslamParticipantLol!
Ive done that with my Romanian force too! 2 X 38t tanks.
The trick is to not engage the better Soviet vehicles, but use your tanks in an anti infantry role.
Use panzershreck against the enemy armour.
Thanks
June 7, 2020 at 1:19 pm #178898Paul NettleParticipantMy Romanian force is based on 1942, so no Panzerschreck. Luckily the Romanians can use Panzerfausts and Panthers in the 1942 list (although I never would). My trusty PaK 97/38 has to engage the KVs!
June 15, 2020 at 6:53 pm #179150JaesenParticipantThank you!
The Axis Support unit is not limited to tanks, correct? So if the Axis Support slot on easyarmy only shows a certain selection of German tanks, if I wanted to take an armored car or sp artillery, that’s legal?
Additionally, it appears that the easyarmy Bulgarian Reinforced Platoon omits an armored car slot, where the book pg 64 has one. Presuming the book is the authority, which armored cars would be available? (The same ones as in the 1941-44 Occupation Force selector?)

Correct. Axis support is ‘… one extra unit…’, no suggestion that it can only be a tank, just that it can’t be a vehicle with damage value of 10+ or 11+ (unless it’s a Tiger 1 for Hungary). Easy Army has it’s limitations.
