Is it possible to fire and range in HE rounds on to a point on the battlefield using the current rules as written?
For example I want to range my mortar or arty onto an objective or point on the map to make it hazardous to capture/occupy it.
Currently you can target a point on the battlefield with smoke rounds. However the rules for HE indirect fire use the term target unit even though the implication is you are targeting a point on the battlefield.

Has anyone come across any houserules for that situation that are nicely balanced?
Thanks
