What is the procedure for indirect mortar fire? Do they roll on the to hit table or just place template over location and roll a six for the first round to see if target is destroyed. Please explain thanks.

2- Roll to hit. With indirect weapons you never hit on better than a 6 the first time you fire at a target.
3 – If you miss, the next time you fire, if both you and your target have not moved, you hit on 5+.
4 – If you miss, the next time you fire, if you both you and your target have not moved, you hit on a 4+
5 – Etc.
6 – If you hit, place the template over the target unit and roll the damage for each model that is even partially under the template.Hope this helps!

July 26, 2018 at 10:35 pm #142063Jvr1979ParticipantI do have a follow up question what about direct fire mortars or is there such a thing. How does that work?
July 26, 2018 at 10:46 pm #142067Gerry BrawleyParticipantThere are no direct fire mortars in the game but you can direct fire a howitzer direct so long an none pf your troops are in the line of fire.
Also one an indirect fire weapon hits ( ranged in ) it onlt takes a 2+ to hit if neither the weapon or target have moved.

July 27, 2018 at 2:40 am #142074Stuart HarrisonParticipantYou need to score a hit to cause pins. No pins from a miss.
