On the box for the Vervoids is a gorgeous picture showing an unpainted bare metal miniature, a fully painted miniature and an inked one that looks like it comes straight out of a black and white comic. Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, but my Google-fu has failed me – how would one achieve that black and white inked look? I’m amassing quite a collection of miniatures here and I have neither the time nor the talent to paint them to my satisfaction…

I would try to mimic it with a white primer and a black wash. Once dried, a simple white dry brush may help to get something close.
Beside, correct me if I’m wrong, those are metal minis. They should be easy strip if you’re not happy with the result.
