King Alfred and the men of Wessex

I finally got around to painting and basing my King Alfred, Ive been wanting to do a whole Wessex army for ages and I set aside some time during the lockdown. I ended up using a mixture of figures for the warriors but there is only one King Alfred model I wanted 🙂

Thank you, where I live the Norsemen are the heroes and Wessex are the baddies lol Everyone at my gaming club has Vikings so I agreed to paint an army they could all fight.

Nice to see some well painted shields. I find designs tend to get out of hand unless they are quite abstract so end up using transfers a lot.
