The Littorio class ships had twelve 90mm guns AA guns. Game wise this isn’t enough to warrant a DP stat?

The AA guns are the AA battery – those 12 x 90mm are what gives the ranged AA… (AD3 at 6″ range) the smaller calibre AA guns are what give the class it local X trait.

August 7, 2024 at 9:52 am #190375NatParticipantNow for some reason it looks like the Italians only produced DP rounds (shells) for their 3.9″ guns, not their 4.7″ ones – I’ve not looked in to it personally, but i’ve not heard anything about RM 4.7″ guns having DP available.

Too bad they didn’t produce DP shells for those 6 inch and 4.7 inch guns.

As a general rule weapons break down to <40mm = Local X
40mm – 3.9″ guns = AA battery
4″-5.9″ = light guns
6″ + = turret gunsNow theres a few examples where some guns are used as a different catergory… but thats the general approach.
