ParticipantWhat is the actual length of the LVT 1 ?
Is it 5.6 metres x 2m x 2m. This would make it 10cm in BA scale.I have two kits already LVT1(A) and LVT2 which are both measuring 14cm long. (A) being armoured version?
I am assuming that the original LVT 1 was smaller …the one with two mgs on front and carried troops (no back door). Used at Tarawa.
Any help on the length of the LVT 1 would be great…January 11, 2020 at 12:35 am #173330harryb
Participantp.s I know that the LVT 1(A) is not a redesign of an LVT 1. Its completely different…but what length is an LVT1 … any clue?

ParticipantThis site quotes a different length for the LVT-1 (21’6″/6.553m):

Participantthanks stuart. it amazing the number of sites that have different lengths and the wrong pictures…but your ref. site looks more like what I was thinking as 10cm sounded small to me. 6.553m is about 11.7cm at BA which sounds more like it. thanks for your help. Perfect.
