My entry to the summer painting comp.
From the Pike & Shotte era, the toughest unit in the highlands, MacColla’s lifeguard. Drawn from the three regiments of the brigade of Irish infantry fighting for Montrose 1644/5. Formed to act as a lifeguard to the brigade’s commander, Alasdair MacDonald, also known as MacColla ‘the Devastator’! Probably only making up a strong company, formed from MacColla’s family and other Hebridean, they are shown here using Warlords Pike & Shotte Highlander range.
