ModeratorBy checking the official store’s pages I’ve noticed the following:
– those are not in metal anymore, Warlord Resin it is
– all pack (squad + ace + decals) are referring a specific squadron but the picture is illustrated with the same decals sheet.I’m wondering if those will be squad specific decals as it may just be an illustration purpose or if it’s just the generic sheet.
As the description is pretty light and there is no split reference available (only the bundle) it’s hard to figure. Also, I think it’s time to add a faction filter on the BRS store 😉

ParticipantDo we know if the new ace packs have identical base discs (heavy cardboard) as the main set?
I just bought the Hurricane ace and the cutouts that came with it were paper thin and this was very disappointing.

ModeratorUnless some official answer, my guess would be thin cardboard as all the recent ones.

ParticipantNow that the individual squadron packs and aces are released I am under the impression that we are getting unique decals for each squadron. Seeing as how only the squadron + ace + decal bundle is all that currently remains under preorder.

ParticipantMy assumption is that the very thin cutouts are what we will be getting as well. Alhough this is a slight dissapointment, as long as you have bought several of the first wave squadrons/starter set you should always have enough of the better ones to fill up your planes (aside from named aces of course).
I believe that the reasoning behind the thin discs (aside from costs) is that it makes them easier to pop out of the base. The original ones are thicker and after using the stem on the bases to remove them a few times you start to wear them out already. Not the greatest design it may be, but I try to counter act this by leaving the pilot skill discs in the bases after a game and only remove them when I have to.
