Hello!
Welcome in my first post here.
I decided to take a part in Summer Offensive Painting Competition and this is my entry for Best Unit category.I would like to present you Polish infantry squad. I decided to use Warlord Games Polish infantry box set (10 metal figurines) and lieutenant from Polish HQ set as a NCO. All minnies are going to represent Polish soldiers in greatcoats from September 1939.
I started this project today. I hope that I will finish my guys on time.
I cleaned the minnies, added sand to the bases to create their surface and put on the base coat (Tamiya surface primer:gray) so far. I decided to paint heads and bodies separately. I guess it might be easier in this way.My plan is to finish heads first. I hope I can do it within this week.
Best,

I’ve done the heads. I guess they look ok. I had problem with color for Polish field caps. I’ve decided to mix 50/50 of Green Brown and Brown Violet. Both colors are Vallejo paints.
Now I am going to paint greatcoats.

Thanks guys for the comments!
It’s time for small update. I’ve done all the greatcoats and uniform so now I am ready to work on smaller details. I guess I will start with boots/putties and flesh. Base color for the flesh is done. Current progress you can see in the picture.

This is going to be my last update here.
I’ve done my Poles. I had lots of fun painting them and I guess this is the most important thing 🙂
I am also happy that I finished them on time.
It was painting test for my future Polish army, too. I was confused a bit about colors, but I guess I got them right.Anyway, my models you may see on the pictures below. I hope you will like them.
Best
