    Have a question about rolling for damage and critical hits. Am I correct in assuming that a gun damage roll of “6” only triggers a chance for a Critical Hit but does no other damage? (Does not do 6 points of damage and a Crit as well, in other words.)

    No. It causes 6 points of damage, and also causes a critical hit (if it is not saved by your opponent passing a skill check)
