    Hi, sorry new to BA and just wanted to check, with the free soviet 12 man inexperienced squad it says you can give them the usual options permitted, do you pay for the upgrades?

    e.g if I add a LMG to them will I be paying 20 points?

    If you’re only playing with the main rule book, your free squad is the 12 man inexperienced squad with all options available to them – SMG for the NCO, LMG and AT Grenades with the squad being green.

    If you’re playing with Armies of the Soviet Union, your free squad is specifically the 11 man Rifle Squad with all it’s available options, there is no option for the NCO to take a SMG and no option for a LMG.
