Here’s some backstory to the title-question.
I’m starting up an early war German army with a Battle of France theme of 1000pts, and I got this as a list that seems pretty solid. I’m going for models that are not seen alot at my local club and using the BoF Campaign book as well.

Which comes to 1000pts right on the button. I’m already using the LMG support from BoF (as the army is still a regular generic reinforced platoon), but I thought of dropping the kubelwagen and the Intelligence officer bonus and get a regular Spathtruppen squad.
I get a small squad that deploys as observers/snipers, but they would only have rifles. Still it’s 5 bodies that can control an objective, fire and draw attention and of course, deny some forward deployment, but I’m loosing a wheeled transport that can still deliver 6 shots at 36′ (or 48′ on an advance).
