The Nakajima B5N being on the store, the card mentions “single engine bomber”.

How will you play it? As a fighter or as a bomber?

Will you home rule it for some Pearl Harbour scenario ?

For now it’s a substitute bomber for the bomber escort mission (take five or six ideally to replace the three twin-engine bombers usually used). There are some homebrewed rules around for torpedoing things if that’s your tipple. Longer term I’m working up some air to ground/sea rules to cover these, the Zvezda planes and any upcoming stuff.

Honestly the popularity of having bombers in games has rather caught me off guard, so apologies and please bear with me. I’ve been thinking about how to do these rules for years, but never got time to write them down.

More options is always a good thing from my point of view. Each of us can stick with a specific gameplay based on our preference.
I’m having a lot of fun with the fighter part and can continue with it for quite a long time. But strafing run or other additional rules can ring my bell too.

Missions where fighters and small bombers dogfight for survival on the flight path to the bombing target can make for an exciting scenario. A ground target expansion with some cardboard components, from factories to flattops, would also be a nice addition.

BTW, I’ve noticed that Kate are only available on request.
does that means that they will be available only through WG webstore?
No chance to find it at my LFGS?

Ok they are in stock… got an email of postage two days after I put the order in.

Ok, I found where I saw it. It’s noted on the French FB page. If I understand it properly, it means that FLGS won’t have it in stock but still can order it (it maybe a non UK stores only restriction. I don’t know).
I tend to favour the brick and mortar shop when I can (especially FLGS) but sometimes you don’t have much of a choice.
So I may wait a bit for the next BRS expansions. It may even let the new decals sets appear.

I’m very interested in a bomber scenario, especially one where the Luftwaffe is attacking the American heavys (B-17 or B-24) early on when they have no escorts and in a scenario that they do. Really looking forward to having those types of scenarios to play.

Just noticed that the Kate card is missing cost value.
Does anyone know what it is supposed to be?

I’ve checked with the other RichC and we don’t believe it’s ever been assigned a points cost – it’s just a substitute for larger bombers in appropriate scenarios on a 2 for 1 basis, as Andy has noted earlier in this thread.
