Hi Koin-Koin, It has now been approved. Sorry for the delay.
Cheers
CraigSeptember 7, 2020 at 2:49 pm #181393Koin-KoinModeratorHi Craig,
It seems you fix a previous thread and not the Yak 1 thread.
PS: I’ll send you a reply to the PM

September 12, 2020 at 2:04 pm #181547Koin-KoinModeratorHi Craig,
I’m sorry but I keep posting things that trigger the spam filter.
I made two post in my BRS dedicated thread and the non-https posted pics prevent them to be shown.
Cheers

September 18, 2020 at 6:28 pm #181674EniochParticipantHi, dear Mods; I think one of my threads is in approval limbo.
Apparently postimg image links are risky? Duly noted, apologies – would attachments be a better option?
September 19, 2020 at 10:13 am #181677Koin-KoinModeratorLinked image could work if it use an https link.
Unfortunately, if you’re self hosting it like me, you may use an http link.
You can attach pics but keep in mind that there is a size limit.
September 22, 2020 at 8:05 am #181791SteeljackalParticipantSince the forum has been edited, I often have trouble posting.
If the post contains a link, or if I quote from another post the name of the author of the cited post appears as a link, then the post disappears and is not published.September 22, 2020 at 11:11 am #181805CraigKeymasterIt was caused by the update to the forum software itself. We cannot run old versions of the software due to the security policy, so we are the process of looking on how to make the built in spam detection abit less “strict”.
September 22, 2020 at 10:15 pm #181853EniochParticipantHey Craig. Did an edit to an image link to get the hi-res version, Model Showcase thread has locked and disappeared again. 🙁
Definitely switching to attachments from now on
November 24, 2020 at 10:04 am #183169EniochParticipantHere we go again…
Hi Craig, posted a thread advertising a new campaign in the Victory at Sea subforum. Included one Youtube link. Thread held for moderation.
Pretty sure that’s rather…strict. o.O
November 25, 2020 at 7:00 am #183179Charge The GunsParticipantHi Craig,
I have just found this thread after wondering why I couldn’t post in Pike and Shotte 🙂
I have posted with a link and some pics. Sorry I posted it twice as I thought I had done something wrong the first time. I guess both are in the spam folder?
What is the suggested way to post pics in the forum now, or would you prefer posts without them?
February 28, 2021 at 10:07 am #184593Paintbrush and PikeParticipantHi everyone, I think I’ve suffered the same problem – I tried to post a ‘hello!’ in the Community Introductions and also start a thread in the Hail Caesar section, both of which seem to have vanished into the ether – I guess also because of the hyperlinks? Would it be possible to have them approved?
Going forward, might someone also be able to suggest the best way to share / upload images so as to avoid this issue?
Best wishes and thanks.
Ben

March 11, 2021 at 1:27 pm #184872CraigKeymasterIve added an update to the forum software that should prevent it from being so strict in future, external links to images should now in theory work without needing approval. Hopefully that works!
Images can also be uploaded as attachments to the forum as always, with a maximum file size of 9mb.
