Tows and Dense / Rough Terrain

I’ve asked this on the Bolt Action Facebook group and got conflicting answers, so thought I’d try here.

 

I have a half-track and it is towing an artillery piece, is it:

1) Able to traverse rough / dense terrain?

2) If it is, is it then able to “drop off” it’s tow in said terrain?

So the reason is that RAW isnt clear… because its not stated exactly… because BA ISNT written as a water tight competitive system…so my take on the situation is this:

1) Yes – there is (as far as I can remember) no where that stats Towing a gun over rides the terrain that the tow vehicle can travers.

2) Yes – there is no restrictions as to where a unit can disembark.

1+2 b] I’d also say you’ll only be able to deploy 1″ away from the REAR of the towing vehicle though.. as the gun cant move in the terrain its self so cant RUN the up to 6″  away from the vehicle, however the rules say you cant be within 1″ of a unit except if assaulting the unit OR EMBARKING
