Count Nils Brahe was a rising star in the army of Gustav Adolf, and a favourite of the King. Brahe commanded the Yellow brigade at Lützen, 1632, where he was wounded, and died two weeks later from the wound. I have modelled him bravely leading his regiment in to the ‘teeth of the gale’, so to speak!
The figures on the command stand are from the Swedish infantry box set, and also a converted (hat swap) Scots artillery crewman.
