As this is being written, it’s quite a week for Bolt Action Miniatures releases so we figure we’ll go the whole hog and look at some more great paintjobs by that nice chap Neil at Troop of Shewe. First off we have a GMC CCKW Deuce-and-a-Half truck. The model comes in two variants – with enclosed canvas cabin and also with the canopy removed in place of .50 cal machine gun. First up, we’ll show off Neil’s paintwork on the enclosed version…
Next up, Neil has given us a rather fine and weathered Willys Jeep with a raised canopy. This model has been painted in British Guards armoured division livery. Of course the Jeeps were widely used by pretty much all the Allied forces and would fit nicely into your Soviet and American forces too!
Speaking of Jeeps and other nationalities now would be a good time to show off our great driver models again!
Neil has also painted a Jeep in American colours as seen below.
Thee Jeep is also available with a .30 Caliber machine gun.
Sticking with the Allied ‘softskins’ we also have Neil’s paintjob for the other Deuce variant – GMC CCKW Deuce-and-a-Half truck with a .50 Cal in a ring mount. Equally of use for taking potshots at strafing aircraft and helping add a little firepower to the supporting troops.
Axis players are not completely neglected in this round of freshly painted Bolt Action Miniatures. Here we have a couple SDKFZ 250/9 Neu 2cm Recce Half-Tracks…
That last piece of German kit brings this Troop of Shewe Army Gallery to an end but don’t worry we have loads more to bring you in the next few newsletters!
If you’ve been inspired to have a go at your own collection of Bolt Action vehicles (and what kind of wargamer wouldn’t be?) you can find a broad, and growing, selection in the Warlord webstore.
