Ever since we released our Flakvierling quad AA guns you’ve regularly requested we mount on our Sd.Kfz 7 to make the 7/1 self-propelled AA gun. As this is one of our favourite vehicles of the war we are only too happy to oblige!
Mounting the prodigious firepower of the 2cm flakvierling onto the mobile platform of the rugged Sd.Kfz 7 prime mover gave German forces a degree of protection against the increasing menace of Allied airpower. Of course, it also providing a withering hail of fire against ground targets
In Bolt Action game terms you get 4 autocannons with a 360 degree fire arc for a mere 65pts if you select a regular crew. Not too shabby.
If you are looking for static anti-aircraft options we have just the job – you can choose from the trailer pulled Flakvierling…
…or the 3.7cm Flak 43 (classed as a heavy automatic cannon).
Ah, the dreaded 88. A heavy anti-aircraft gun and also a tank-killer par excellence. Nobody wanted to face one of these – especially in a Sherman!
And to tow your 88 to where it’s needed the Sd.Kfz 7 brings us right back to the start of the article. It’s when things work out…
