As many of you will have noticed, we have a new webstore. Our old one served us well from the inception of Warlord almost five years ago but we’d simply outgrown it as it had begun to creak at the seams somewhat. You’ve not seen the new store yet? rectify this gross oversight here…
Product Browsing in the store
One of the main goals of the new store was to make everything easier to find. Over five years we’ve added thousands of products to the old store and things were starting to get unwieldy. We think we have achieved a far better look with an intuitive use of categories based on our four rules systems (Hail Caesar, Pike & Shotte, Black Powder and Bolt Action) and also with the filter system in the left sidebar that can be used to focus in on specific products types.
The highlights of the new look are:
- Much clearer product layout – easier to find what you’re looking for.
- Multiple images per product.
- Related products displayed in the description.
- ‘Add to wishlist’ feature, allowing you to store your favourites for later purchase or to send to friends and family as gift ideas.
- Send a product link to a friend with email.
- Simple main menu navigation and the option to filter products by multiple types.
- Comprehensive search by product name.
- The last three recently viewed products displayed so you can track back easily.
- Select how you view our products – either in grid or list format.
- Breadcrumbs to track where you are within the store.
Checkout
You can checkout as a guest or set up an account in the store which will give you acces to extra features!
New Checkout Process
- One-Page secure checkout displaying an easy to follow progress sidebar.
- Shipping to multiple addresses in one order.
- Checkout without an account/as a guest.
- Checkout with your account to use address book and other features.
- Option to create account at beginning of checkout.
Customer Account Features
When you register for an account you gain the ability to view your order status and receive tracking information directly on the site. An account also offers you the ability to save items to a wishlist and share with friends and family, access and edit your contact information and address book.
The account dashboard provides you with an overview of: recent orders, personal information, primary billing address, primary shipping address, shopping cart, wishlist, recently ordered items and recently reviewed items.
- Order history with status updates to see how your orders are progressing
- Order and account update emails sent to you
- Shows recently ordered items
- Wishlist to log future purchases with ability to add comments and email to friends/family
Missing Products?
As part of the project to bring you a new webstore we’ve rationalised our product ranges and as a result some old or obsolete products have been removed. Others, such as our Reinforcements single figures, have been left out temporarily. Adding in single figures for the size of our ranges would take an eternity (or so it seems!) so we’ll be adding them back into the store gradually over the next few weeks.
Of course, an undertaking of this magnitude is going to mean something being forgotten so if you find something missing or in the wrong place please drop us a line to info@warlordgames.com so we can rectify matters!
