Anyone who’s seen the film Gladiator can envision the devastating impact a Roman turma can bring to an enemy formation (those Germans were far from pleased). Now you can add your own units of hard-hitting Imperial Roman horsemen to your own army with the release of our metal Imperial Roman Auxiliary Cavalry.
A standard regiment (turma) was 30 men strong and could ride roughshod over any barbarian formations who stood in their way. A turma consisted of a commanding decurion, duplicarius (double pay), and sesquiplicarius (pay and a half) as well as a vexilifer and musician with a distinctive curved lituus horn.
